This policy explains what information The Food Trays collects through this website, what we do with it, and how to ask us to change or delete it. It is written to be read rather than to be comprehensive for its own sake.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us. When you submit a quote request, a contact enquiry or a tray designer specification, that form passes us the fields you completed — typically your name, company, email address, phone number, delivery country, and the details of the packaging you are asking about. If you attach a file, we receive that file.
The form also records the page you submitted from and the time of submission, so we can see the context of an enquiry. We do not collect payment card details through this website.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, and — if you place an order — to fulfil it. That is the entire purpose. We do not build marketing profiles from enquiry data and we do not use it to target advertising.
How we use it
- To prepare and send you a quote or a reply.
- To ask follow-up questions about your specification.
- To produce and deliver an order, if one follows.
- To keep a record of specifications and tooling so repeat orders are accurate.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
- We do not add you to a marketing mailing list because you asked for a quote.
- We do not share your artwork or specifications with other customers.
Who else sees it
Enquiry emails are delivered through a standard email service provider, and the website is served by a hosting provider. Those providers process the data in order to deliver the message and the page, and they are bound by their own obligations as processors. Where an order is produced, the specification and artwork necessary to make it are shared with the production partner handling that job — but only the information needed to make what you ordered.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a returning customer does not have to re-explain a specification. Order records, including tooling and artwork files, are kept for as long as the tooling remains usable for repeat orders. You can ask us to delete any of it at any time.
Cookies and analytics
This website is built as static pages and does not set advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, which sets its own analytics cookies and records a trimmed version of your IP address; we never send it your name, email or enquiry details. Any consent requirements that apply in your market will be honoured.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@thefoodtrays.com and we will act on the request. Depending on where you are — the United States, United Kingdom, Canada or Australia — you may have additional statutory rights over your personal data; we will honour those rights on request regardless of which market you are in.
Security
Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. Credentials for our mail service are held as server-side environment variables and are never present in the pages served to your browser. No system is perfect, but we do not store more than we need, which is the most effective protection available.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it. Material changes will be described in this section rather than made quietly.
